In January 2009, the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund (OP&F) will be implementing an exciting new program allowing employers to report member payroll data (Report of Retirement Deductions) online.
Whether employers report electronically (import option) or by keying in member payroll information (manual option) they will be able to submit payroll reports by accessing a secure location on OP&F’s homepage (www.op-f.org). Either reporting option offers the ability to view and correct payroll errors prior to report submission. This feature expedites processing of payroll while also reducing phone calls from OP&F. The basic logic of payroll reporting will not change - employers will still be reporting member hours paid, hours base, earning types, etc. For employers using the import option, the file format will not change, so payroll software changes should not be an issue.
OP&F will be holding Web Reporting Training Sessions next month at the following locations and will provide training manuals at each session illustrating the processing of sample payrolls online.
