Columbus, Ohio - John S. Davis has been named APRS Manager at the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund (OP&F), the pension fund announced today.
As APRS Manager, Davis will manage OP&F's Amplified Payroll Reporting System, the system through which employee/employer contributions are reported to the pension fund. Davis will oversee compliance to legislatively-mandated contribution amounts and deadlines and supervise staff that verifies contributions from approximately five hundred payrolls per week. OP&F receives contributions in excess of $11.5 million each month.
Davis joined OP&F in 1998 as a supervisor in the Member Services Department. Prior to his employment with OP&F, he worked for Grant Medical Center in human resources and vocational rehabilitation.
With assets of more than $9 billion, the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund is currently ranked one of the 115 largest private pension funds in the country. OP&F is one of the five Ohio Retirement Systems and provides pension, disability, survivor, and health care benefits to full-time police officers and firefighters in the state of Ohio. OP&F currently serves over 50,000 members, and annually pays out over $400 million in pension and $100 million in health care benefits.
Davis and his wife, Maggie, reside in Columbus.
