Each year, the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund (OP&F) produces a series of informational Guide Booklets to inform our membership about the benefit options available as they approach retirement. Each Guide provides a general overview of commonly requested subjects including:

Annuity Payment Plans;
Disability Retirement;
DROP (Deferred Retirement Option Plan);
Health Care Benefits;
Ohio Public Safety Officer's Death Fund Benefit;
Public Re-employment;
Service Retirement; and
Survivor Benefits.

All Guides are given to members who are preparing to retire at their personal interview with an OP&F Benefit Counselor.

The Health Care Guide will be mailed to all eligible members starting in October with their Annual Change Period confirmation letter.
