The Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund will hold a public hearing for the purpose of accepting testimony on the proposed administrative rule 742-2-01/Board of trustee election rules.
The rule is being adopted pursuant to Substitute Senate Bill 133 and relates to the Board of Trustees election rules. The rule outlines the following items related to Board elections: the administration of elections of members of OP&F�s Board of Trustees under Ohio Revised Code Section 742.04 and elections held under Ohio Revised Code Section 742.05 to fill vacancies on the Board of Trustees; nominating petitions for the elections; certification of the validity of nominating petitions for the elections; and certification of the results of the elections.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at 2:00 p.m., in the Board Room at Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, 140 East Town Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
The hearing will be conducted in accordance with Chapter 119 of the Revised Code. Any person who wishes to present his position, arguments, or contentions in writing, other than at the public hearing, may do so by either mailing their written comments to the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, c/o General Counsel, 140 East Town Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215; or by transmitting the position, arguments, or contentions by facsimile at (614) 628-1765. Written comments sent by mail shall be postmarked no later than the day of the hearing. Written comments transmitted by facsimile shall be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the hearing.
