Gerald R. Williams and David L. Gelbaugh have been appointed as the newest members of the Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund (OP&F) Board of Trustees and have been sworn in to their positions. Williams will serve as the designated investment expert appointed jointly by the Ohio Senate and House of Representatives, while Gelbaugh will be the investment expert appointed by the Ohio Treasurer of State.
In compliance with Ohio Senate Bill 133, the Governor, Treasurer of State and General Assembly, will each have a representative with investment expertise on the Board of Trustees. Robert Baker, Finance Director for the City of Cleveland, was named the Governor�s representative in September.
Williams lives in Columbus and is the owner of Mattara/GRW, LLC that serves as an operating consultant to companies. In his career as an entrepreneur, Williams has owned and operated a variety of companies. His career also includes time as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Huntington Bancshares, president and chief operating officer of United Savings of Texas, and executive vice president and chief financial officer of First City Bancorporation of Texas.
Williams earned his bachelor�s degree from The Ohio State University and also served in the United States Marine Corp.
Former Ohio Supreme Court Justice Andy Douglas swore in Gelbaugh as a member of the OP&F Board on February 21. Gelbaugh, a Columbus resident, has 27 years of broad financial planning experience for the Columbia Energy Group. He most recently served as the Director of Financial Planning for Columbia.
He obtained a bachelor�s and master�s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University.
