Trustee election for 2006 will fill seat for active firefighter representative

The 2006 Board of Trustee election will select an active firefighter representative for a four�year term commencing June 5, 2006.

Nominating petitions for candidates interested in running for the active firefighter seat on the Board were due to OP&F by April 3, along with a certification of eligibility and a photo to be used on the election ballot.

By May 1, ballots will be mailed to active firefighter members who are eligible to vote. Ballots must be returned by May 16. Election results will be announced at the May meeting of the Board of Trustees.

Preparations for this year�s election began when notices were mailed in February to fire stations across the state. Postcards asking eligible voting members for address updates were also mailed in February.
