Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund (OP&F) has recently received an award recognizing its conformance of the highest standards for preparation of state and local government popular reports. The Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting was awarded to OP&F for its 2006 Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.
The award recognizes OP&F’s PAFR, which was published in June, 2007, as a good example of a financial report that has a high level of creativity, presentation, understandability and reader appeal.
“The OP&F Board of Trustees, staff and I are proud to accept this award for the third year in a row,” said William J. Estabrook, OP&F Executive Director. “OP&F continues to be a leader and model among retirement systems, and our sound financial reporting supports this fact. I feel that receiving this award once again acknowledges our standing.”
